Paul Fadale, MD

Paul Fadale, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Fadale specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Fadale is currently a Professor at Brown University teaching medical students, orthopedic surgical residents and fellows the field of sports medicine. He has worked with numerous athletic programs and is the current Head Team Physician for Brown University Athletics and the Providence Bruins Professional Hockey Team.

Dr. Fadale is currently the head physician for Brown University Athletics, Providence Bruins Professional Hockey Team (AHL) and the Festival Ballet Providence.

Dr. Fadale has received the Excellence in Research Award and the Aircast Award for Basic Science from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has received a Brown University Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award and an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Brown University Department of Orthopedics. He is a Rhode Island Monthly “Top Doc” in sports medicine winner multiple times for the state of Rhode Island. He has multiple active ongoing research interests. Dr. Fadale emphasizes a broad spectrum of treatment options, including sport specific treatments for athletes ranging from young athletes and professionals and the "weekend warrior". Dr. Fadale is experienced in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery to reduce the length of the disability and speed the return to full activity with a less painful recovery.
